Geek-Art x Konami
Among the legendary franchises in the pantheon of video game history, Metal Gear Solid holds a truly unique place. On the eve of the release of the latest installment, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Konami and Geek-Art teamed up to deliver a high-profile exhibition event in Paris.
The show brought together 10 artists — all passionate fans of the iconic series — for whom Metal Gear Solid had been a formative influence. For some, it was a source of creative inspiration; for others, it helped shape their career path. The saga left an indelible mark on these French and American talents.
Titled The 80’s Fan Art Experience, the exhibition offered the artists complete creative freedom with just one constraint: 1984. This is the year in which the game’s story unfolds, set against the backdrop of the Cold War between the USSR and the USA. Some pieces were created on vintage media such as vinyl record sleeves or Nintendo NES cartridges — two cultural icons of that decade — while others were presented as framed prints, allowing each artist’s talent and enthusiasm for this legendary game to shine through.

Les artistes : Orioto, Alex Tuis, Guillaume Singelin, Ronan Toulhoat, Ammo, Ideealizse, Emilio Lopez, Oskunk, Tshuchinoko.
