Oui, je l’avoue, je le crie, même, il fut un temps où je passais des après-midi entières à peindre des figurines dans mon garage, à construire des châteaux-forts, à assembler des tanks, à peindre des tables en vert pour mieux y jouer avec mes potes. Il fut un temps où j’étais un grand général Space Marine et où je jouais à Warhammer 40 000. Voilà, c’est dit. Et voilà pourquoi, quand je suis tombé sur la page du nommé “Aerion the Faithfull”, un vent de nostalgie a soufflé sur mon bureau. Je revoyais mes fiers guerriers partir à la guerre, contre les infâmes troupes du Chaos, les horde d’orks, ou les osts Eldars… Quoi qu’il en soit, je trouve son travail énorme, à mi-chemin entre le comic et le fan-art, avec des personnages hauts en couleur, des détails à n’en plus finir, et des héros tout en gloire et en puissance… L’ami Aerion est Argentin et vit à Buenos Aires, son vrai nom est Nicolas Giakondino, et je lui di merci, et bravo. Allez sur sa galerie devianART, pendant ce temps moi je vais huiler mes bolters et dépoussiérer mon armure Terminator, paraît qu’une Waaaagh se dirige droit sur nous… Enjoy !
All right, all right, I must confess, there was a time where I spent hours and hours in my parent’s basements, painting Space Marines, Imperial Guards, assembling tanks and using tonns of glu to complete my battle table, where my glorious troops would fight against the ennemies of mankind such as the Chaos Forces, the orks or the Eldars… I also confess that I do not regret anything ! And that’s why, when I spotted “Aerion the Faithfull” work, a wind of nostalgia blew my mind. The guy, whose real name is Nicolas Giakondino, is from Argentina, livin in buenos Aires. His awesome “comics style” allows him to paint and draw the greatest heroes of Warhammer 40 000 in all their glory, with great illustrations full of details and… Epic Win ! Anyway, go watch the rest of his work on his deviantART account. I have to clean up my bolters and my Terminator Armor. Heard rumors about a Waaaagh coming up here… Enjoy !
