Austian street artist Nychos enters at last the world of Geek-Art and pop culture with an amazing solo art show at New York’s Jonathan Levine Gallery ! You may probably know his works, as this fantastic artist painted more and more gigantic walls around the world those past years, with his giant dissected subjects.

Growing up in a hunting family, Nychos is obviously attracted by the dissection process in his work, wanting to know what really hides behind his subjects’ masks. With IKON, Nychos created a full gallery of portraits of the most famous characters of modern pop culture, real or fictional. With a special focus on the 80s, this series shows how the artist was deeply influenced by TV and movies of this era. He goes behind the masks of celebrities by revealing what lies behind them and bind us all : skins and bones !

Ad to this some references on developments that have come to plague society over recent decades with with images such as a rubber ducky liquefying into polluted water or a Barbie doll whose face has melted into a cancerous drip and other socio-ecological crises, and you have what will probably be the most amazing Geek-Art related art show of this year 2016 !
