The Medieval Star Wars serie of Jake Bartok

Longer ago, in a galaxy even further away…

It’s no secret that George Lucas drew a lot of inspiration from Fantasy stories to create the Star Wars saga. Whether it is with the look of the Jedi, the lightsabers, or even some sets like Tatooine or Naboo, we definitely feel the touches of Fantasy that the director wanted to put in his universe.

It is thus with this postulate that the Australian artist Jake Bartok created his series Medieval Star Wars. Through this one, he re-imagines the characters of the saga in a world coming out of the Middle Ages, swapping lightsabers for swords of the times. The artist has pushed creation to the point of creating a map of this new universe, called The Olde Republic.

I’m a big fan of the Dooku account version, and I would have paid a lot to see Christopher Lee play the role of an account in such a medieval saga. Don’t hesitate to follow Jake Bartok’s work via his Instagram account, I think his series isn’t finished yet 😉
