Round One… Last Fight !

I’m a huge fan of French comics artist Bastien Vivès. 3 years ago he teamed up with 2 other illustrators, Balak and Sanlaville, to create what became a major hit in France with Last Man. I’m gonna try to explain Last Man to you guys : it’s a mash-up of Dragon Ball, de Mad Max, Conan the Barbarian, Blade Runner and Street Fighter (I’m talking about the video game… AND the movie!).

Those crazy talented artists created an extraordinary universe, fun and bad-ass, full of awesome characters, great villains, and a story like yo never, EVER read before. Last Man is a joyful and original tribute to pop culture and video games, as well as a refreshing and exciting story, amazingly drawn. 8 volumes are available in France (the guys are fast, working like a manga studio : the books are manga like and black and white by the way), and a great publisher, First Second, had the great idea to translate and publish the comics in the USA.

But they didn’t quite stop there. Balak, Vives & Sanlaville wanted to create a cross platform project, with an upcoming anime, and today a video game : Last Fight, developed by Piranaking !

Obviously inspired by Power Stone and Street Fighter, this video game is now available on Xbox One and PS4, and is a real joy to play ! Fun but also really tricky, fans and non-fans alike will love it, as well as experimented players and noobs.

The story takes place before the events of Last Man, and the graphic universe is simply amazing. Below you can have a look at some videos, artworks and screenshots from the game.
