A place to think
Ben Bauchau is a freelance illustrator from Belgium who creates illustrations for animations, video games and board games. His personal illustrations are inspired by ukiyo-e art, prints in general and art derived from them such as comics.
His style and his fine line are reminiscent of the SF of the 1970s (hello Moebius). He also makes drawings about his anxiety, and what it’s like to live with it. A Place For My Dark Thoughts is a book compiling a series of contemplative illustrations about his experience with anxiety, its ugliness and beauty, its complexity and intensity.
The purpose of this book is to share this complex problem with people who may need support, as he did before, and to help others understand the problems their loved ones may have, in a unique and creative vision.
