Science-Fiction like 70’s
The Sf we know today owes a lot to the films and works of the 70s. Pioneers for the time, how not to think of 2001 Space Odyssey as a cult work or the revolution that was Metal Hurlant during this decade and the next. These influences and codes are still present today, and Mikolaj Kula is directly inspired by them with a truly hallucinating style.
Rather psychedelic, these works plunge us into colorful SF universes where we meet characters who remind us of the style of Moebius. In natural environments but with strange colors, all Mikolaj’s illustrations are happiness of hallucinated futurism, and one can only dream of stories taking place in such worlds.
