I discovered Yoshi Yoshitani for the first time not so long ago through the exhibition The Tarot Triumvirate at the Gallery Nucleus. Fascinated by his vision of the tarot, I immersed myself in the rest of his work. And I was clearly not ready to discover all this talent.
Yoshi is a concept artist, illustrator, and author with a unique style, full of color and inspired by the different mythologies of the world. And it is this last point that resonates with me I think. She succeeds in appropriating legends and tales from the four corners of the globe in her own art for beautiful renderings. For example, she has created a whole series called Foxy Fashion where characters from different countries wear a mask of Kitsune, and what about her Tarot The Divine, where the cards are representations of 78 myths and legends from around the world.
