Make Pop Culture, Not War

Australian artist Rhys Cooper is well known for his many pop culture related posters as well as gig posters. If you don’t know his “banner style” posters, you should definitely check his work on his Studio Seppuku website / online store.

A while ago in 2010, he designed propaganda inspired movie posters for Gallery 1988‘s now famous annual art show Crazy 4 Cult, where dozens of artists pay tribute to every form of pop culture. Rhys payed tribute to Robocop, The Terminator, The Dark Knight Rises, Escape from New York, Starship Trooper and Total Recall with those gorgeous screen prints. Those beauties came back from 2010 and will be available online on his store this Wednesday. Not a lot left apparently, so you’d better be quick to get those babies !
