The Cartoon Fossils of Filip Hodas
Archeology and Pop-Culture
3D artist Filip Hodas had an incredibly original idea: to imagine his favorite cartoon characters as dinosaurs fossils. He first wanted to place them in a museum, but he quickly saw that the skulls were too damaged and not recognizable enough. That’s when he decided to create skulls less destroyed and to add assets to each character so they will be easily recognizable.
This is how we can discover the skull of a Canis Goofus or even, my favorite one, an Anas Scroogius. We can immediately guess who those characters are and that’s a real pleasure to see them in an anachronic way, like if in many centuries some archeologists find our childhood heroes, wondering who they were.
I love this original idea, and you will also be able to discover on Filip’s Behance page other amazing creations, such as his Pop Culture Dystopia serie that worth the shot.
