Pop-Art and Pop-Culture
We mainly know the pop-art trend thanks to Andy Warhol and all his famous paintings. But this current is still visible today and continues to serve as inspiration for many artists. We can clearly see in the work of the Brazilian Marcos de Lima all the influence that this style could have had on him and his art.
Through portraits, Marcos portrays many characters from the Pop-Culture with a style that is undeniably reminiscent of both Pop-Art and comic book cover design of the 1960s. There is here a lot of bright colors and a very particular grain, giving a unique soul to the creations of this artist.
