There’s A Storm Coming, Mister Wayne
Tomer Hanuka is a mythic illustrator for any illustration lover and alternative movie poster fan (especially from Mondo). A rare and excellent artist, beloved by many a fan around the world. His unique vision and drawings, enhanced by bright colors, can hide harsh violence and true sadness. NY Times best selling artist, he has worked on the oscar nominated animated doc Waltz with Bashir, and illustrated the cover of The New Yorker. He also won multiple industry awards, including Gold medals from The Society of Illustrators and The Society of Publication Designers. A monograph of his work titled
Overkill was published in 2012.
The Divine, a graphic novel he co-created was published in 2015, and made The New York Times beset seller list.
We’ve been following Tomer’s work for a long tome now, and it’s a real pleasure to reveal this officially licensed The Dark Knight Rises screen print, thanks to our partnership with Warner Bros. Entertainement. Rare artist, excellent license, this is typically what makes us struggle again and again with Geek-Art and the gallery !
A few words from Tomer : “Batman super power is that he’s human, scared by life, a self made monster. With this print, I tried to recreate a mythic struggle between two opposing forces, that’s as violent as it is intimate.”
The Dark Knight Rises by Tomer Hanuka is a 6 colors 24×36 screen print that will be available tomorrow the 30th of March. Limited to 300 pieces, it will be released online at the end of the day. Stay tuned on French Paper Art Club’s
