Le terme “stamnos” désigne un vase antique qui servait principalement à mélanger et conserver le vin dans l’antiquité. Il est reconnaissable par ses figures, tantôt rouges brique, tantôt noires qui illustrent souvent de grands mythes, romains ou grecques. L’Atelier Stamnos, dont nous allons parler ici, porte dès lors parfaitement son nom, faisant ainsi un parallèle entre les couleurs de ses plaques de gravures en bois et celles des fameux vases antiques.
L’Atelier est tenu par Nicolas Amoroso. Il s’agit un talentueux graveur tirant ses inspirations des estampes japonaises traditionnelles mais également de Giger, Lovecraft ou encore Derleth. Amoureux du travail bien fait, sa collection d’estampes est tout bonnement magnifique. Qu’il travaille sur The Witcher, Slender Man ou sur les démons de légendes médiévales, il parvient toujours à faire travailler notre imagination et à nous immerger avec puissance dans ces univers.
