Nicolas Beaujouan is a French writer and graphic designer. He designed those minimalist covers of what is, for him, part of the ultimate book collection any geek should have read… Well let’s be honest, I think I have some readings to do…

These are cool! But it’s War of the Worlds.

It’s beautiful art but I wish you hadn’t made it the “Essential Geek Literature…and look, one female writer!”-List. There is nothing ultimate about it, because it’s just one side of the whole story.
There are so many important female writers like Ursula Le Guin, Anne McCaffrey, Margaret Atwood, Susanna Clarke, Connie Willis, Doris Lessing, Lois McMaster Bujold, Octavia Butler, not to mention Marion Zimmer Bradley.

@Kristine : it’s fixed :p
@Kajol : I don’t understand… This is the graphic designer’s point of view, his own tastes. It’s a coincidence that there is only one female writer. Why should it mater, male or female ? We’re talking about stories HE liked !
