Nous vous avions déjà parlé de Ash Thorp dans un précédent article sur ses créations autour de Star Wars. C’est aujourd’hui sa série sur Metroid qui nous intéresse. Il a réalisé toutes ses créations en se basant sur son souvenir d’enfant à jouer au jeu sur Super NES : ce sentiment de frustration face à la difficulté, l’isolement de l’héroïne dans ces décors immenses et affronter l’inconnu.
Je trouve personnellement que toutes ces émotions transparaissent parfaitement dans ces cinq illustrations, rendant un coté épique et presque terrifiant à ce jeu absolument culte.
